Biographie
Sumboornam Pillay est une ancienne militante anti-apartheid. Elle a exprimé ses préoccupations concernant les conditions raciales et politiques par l'intermédiaire du groupe de protestation du théâtre noir, le Theatre Council of Natal (Conseil du théâtre du Natal). Plus tard, elle est devenue membre du Mouvement de la conscience noire, publiant des articles dans son journal, la Black Review. Elle était également membre de l'Organisation des étudiants sud-africains.
Biography
Sumboornam Pillay is a former anti-apartheid activist. She addressed her concerns with racial and political conditions through the black theatre protest group, the Theatre Council of Natal. Later she became a member of the Black Consciousness Movement, publishing articles in their journal the Black Review. She was also a member of the South African Student Organisation.
