Biographie
Tebello Nyokong est une chimiste du Lesotho connue pour ses recherches pionnières dans le domaine des nanotechnologies et de la thérapie photo-dynamique, une méthode de traitement du cancer alternative à la chimiothérapie. Elle a reçu l'Ordre de Mapungubwe (OMB) en bronze, le prix L'Oréal-UNESCO pour les femmes et la science et, en 2013, le prix de la Fondation nationale de la recherche pour l'ensemble de sa carrière.
Biography
Tebello Nyokong is a chemist from Lesotho known for her pioneering research in nanotechnology and photo-dynamic therapy, an alternative cancer treatment method to chemotherapy. She received the bronze Order of Mapungubwe (OMB), the L'Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science and in 2013 the National Research Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award.
