Biographie
Mbuyisa Makhubu était un militant anti-apartheid célèbre pour avoir porté sur une photo Hector Pieterson, abattu par la police lors du soulèvement de Soweto en 1976. Malgré la reconnaissance internationale de la photographie, on ne sait pas grand-chose de Makhubu, si ce n'est qu'il a été contraint de fuir l'Afrique du Sud par les autorités.
Biography
Mbuyisa Makhubu was an anti-apartheid activist famously known for carrying Hector Pieterson in a photograph after had been shot by police during the Soweto Uprising of 1976. Despite the photograph’s international recognition, not much is known about Makhubu other than that he was forced to flee South Africa by the authorities.
