Alpha Oumar Konaré a été le troisième président du Mali (8 juin 1992 - 8 juin 2002). Parallèlement à sa carrière politique, il était également un érudit dévoué. Il a fondé un journal et la première station de radio libre du Mali. Il a été président de la Commission de l'Union africaine de 2003 à 2008.
Biography
Alpha Oumar Konaré was the 3rd President of Mali (8 June 1992 - 8 June 2002). Along with his political career he was also a dedicated scholar. He founded a newspaper and Mali's first free radio station. He was Chairperson of the African Union Commission from 2003 to 2008.
