Biographie

Michael Imoudu était un dirigeant syndical et un activiste. Pendant les temps coloniaux, il a vu la nécessité de s’unir avant de protester pour de meilleures conditions de travail, puis de se rendre à Londres pour protester contre la Constitution de Richard de 1946, avec le Conseil du Nigeria et les Camerounais. Ses actions ont sans aucun doute encouragé le nationalisme parmi les travailleurs, ce qui a été essentiel dans les années de construction de la nation qui a gagné l’indépendance politique.

Biography

Michael Imoudu was a union leader and activist. During colonial times, he saw the necessity in uniting ahead of protesting for better working conditions, later travelling to London to protest the 1946 Richards Constitution, with the Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons. His actions undoubtedly encouraged nationalism amongst workers, which was pivotal in the years building up to the nation gaining political independence.
