Empress Zewditu

Biographie

Zewditu était l'impératrice d'Éthiopie, la dernière de la lignée de la Maison de Salomon avant qu'elle ne soit transmise à Hailé Sélassié. Son titre officiel était « Reine des rois » et, bien qu'elle ait été au pouvoir au début, elle n'a pas été autorisée à exercer ses pouvoirs de régente et a finalement transmis la couronne à son cousin.

Biography

Zewditu was the Empress of Ethiopia, the final in her line of the House of Solomon before it was passed to Haile Selassie. Her official title given was 'Queen of Kings' and although in power at first she was not allowed to exercise her regent powers and eventually handed the crown to her cousin.
