Dastile Nosipho

Biographie

Nosipho Dastile a résisté à l’apartheid en fondant le Front démocratique uni. Cette œuvre l’a vu élue première présidente de l’Organisation des femmes d’Uitenhage ainsi que de la Ligue des femmes du Congrès national africain. Elle a ensuite dirigé les manifestations de la campagne Defiance à Port Elizabeth.

Biography

Nosipho Dastile resisted apartheid through founding the United Democratic Front. This work saw her elected as the first president of the Uitenhage Women’s Organisation as well as of the African National Congress Women’s League. She later led the Defiance Campaign protests in Port Elizabeth.
