Biographie
Lydie Beassemda est une femme politique et une militante pour les droits des femmes. En 2018, elle dirige le Parti pour la démocratie et l'indépendance totale, fondé par son père. En 2021, elle est la première femme à se porter candidate à l'élection présidentielle au Tchad. Elle est actuellement ministre de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche.
Biography
Lydie Beassemda is a politician and an activist for women’s rights. In 2018, she led the Party for Democracy and Full Independence which was founded by her father. In 2021 she was the first woman to stand as presidential candidate in Chad. She is currently minister of Higher education and Research.
