Neil Kinnock est un homme politique gallois qui a été chef du parti travailliste de 1983 à 1992. Il a été député de 1970 à 1995, d’abord pour Bedwellty puis pour Islwyn. De 1999 à 2004, Kinnock a été vice-président de la Commission européenne. En tant qu’étudiant, Kinnock a organisé des manifestations contre l’apartheid et l’emprisonnement de Nelson Mandela en Afrique du Sud.
Biography
Neil Kinnock is a Welsh politician who served as Leader of the Labour Party from 1983 to 1992. He served as a Member of Parliament from 1970 to 1995, first for Bedwellty and then for Islwyn. From 1999 to 2004, Kinnock was Vice-President of the European Commission from 1999 to 2004. As a student, Kinnock organised protests against apartheid and the imprisonment of Nelson Mandela in South Africa.
