Rita Ndzanga était une militante syndicaliste et anti-apartheid sud-africaine. Elle était engagée dans la lutte pour les droits des travailleurs et la réalisation d’une Afrique du Sud non raciale et non sexiste, faisant campagne pour la paix par le biais du Syndicat des cheminots. Elle a été inculpée en vertu de la Loi sur le terrorisme et détenue pendant six mois pour avoir résisté au gouvernement. En 2004, elle a reçu l’Ordre de Luthuli.
Biography
Rita Ndzanga was a South African anti-apartheid activist and trade unionist. She was committed to the struggle for workers’ rights and the realisation of a non-racial and non-sexist South Africa, campaigning for peace through the Railway Workers’ Union. She was charged under the Terrorism Act and detained for six months for resisting the government. In 2004, she was awarded the Order of Luthuli.
