Nellie Jibiliza a été politisée par ses parents, qui étaient des militants du Congrès national africain. Représentante de la Ligue des femmes du Congrès national africain, elle a participé à la marche des femmes de 1956 et a fondé l’Association du Cap pour l’abolition des laissez-passer pour les femmes africaines.
Biography
Nellie Jibiliza was politicised by her parents, who were African National Congress activists. She was a representative of the African National Congress Women’s League, attended the Women’s March of 1956, and founded the Cape Association for the Abolition of Passes for African Women, picketing on roadsides and public spaces whenever she could.
