Tanimowo Ogunlesi était une militante et un membre fondateur de la section féminine du groupe d'action d'Obafemi Awolowo. Biography
Tanimowo Ogunlesi was an activist and a founding member of the women’s section of Obafemi Awolowo’s Action Group. She established the Children’s Home School in Ibadan as well as political networks such as the Women’s Improvement Society and later, the Nigerian Council of Women’s Societies. Ogunlesi was the only female member of the Nigerian delegation sent to the United Kingdom to discuss independence in 1953.
