Mathieu Ekra était un homme politique ivoirien et un ancien membre anticolonialiste du RDA. Pendant la lutte pour l'indépendance, il a fait partie des huit personnes arrêtées par les autorités françaises sans motif légitime. Cet événement a suscité un tollé politique, notamment chez les femmes.
Biography
Mathieu Ekra was an Ivorian politician and former anti-colonist RDA member. During the struggle for independence he was one of eight arrested by the French authorities without legitimate reason. This was an event that sparked political outcry, among women especially.
