Papa Ibra Tall était tisserand de tapisseries, peintre et illustrateur. Il est connu pour ses tapisseries et sa participation à l'École de Dakar, le renouveau artistique né au Sénégal à l'aube de l'indépendance. Il a participé à la 8e Biennale des arts de São Paulo et au premier Festival panafricain d'Alger en 1969.
Biography
Papa Ibra Tall was a tapestry weaver, painter, and illustrator. He is well-known for his tapestries and participation in École de Dakar, the artistic revival born in Senegal at the dawn of independence. He participated in the 8th Biennial of Arts in São Paulo and the First Pan-African Festival of Algiers in 1969.
