Abdirashid Ali Shermarke a été le deuxième président de la Somalie (10 juin 1967 – 15 octobre 1969) et le troisième Premier ministre de la Somalie (12 juillet 1960 – 14 juin 1964). Il a échappé à une tentative d’assassinat en 1968 lorsqu’une grenade a été lancée près de la voiture qu’il conduisait, mais en 1969, il a été assassiné par l’un de ses propres gardes du corps.
Abdirashid Ali Shermarke was the 2nd President of Somalia (10 June 1967 – 15 October 1969) and the 3rd Prime Minister of Somalia (12 July 1960 – 14 June 1964). He beat an assassination attempt in 1968 when a grenade was thrown near the car he was driving in, however in 1969 he was assassinated by one of his own bodyguards.
