Sylvestre Ntibantunganya était le 6e président du Burundi (6 avril 1994 - 25 juillet 1996) et est arrivé au pouvoir après que Cyprien Ntaryamira ait été tué dans un assassinat du président rwandais. Il a été déposé par Pierre Buyoya, le précédent président lors d’un coup d’état militaire en 1996.
Biography
Sylvestre Ntibantunganya was the 6th President of Burundi (6 April 1994 - 25 July 1996) and came into power after Cyprien Ntaryamira was killed in an assassination on the Rwandan president. He was deposed by Pierre Buyoya, the previous president in a military coup in 1996.
