Biographie
Thandi Modise a été présidente du Conseil national des provinces (2014 - 2019) et première ministre du Nord-Ouest de l'Afrique du Sud (19 novembre 2010 - 20 mai 2014). Femme politique sud-africaine, elle a été la première femme à être emprisonnée en 1979 pour avoir reçu une formation militaire en Angola et avoir travaillé dans la clandestinité contre le gouvernement de l'époque.
Biography
Thandi Modise was the Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces (2014 - 2019) and was also the Premier of the North West of South Africa (19 November 2010 - 20 May 2014). A South African politician she was the first woman to be imprisoned in 1979 for receiving military training in Angola and underground work against the government of the time.
