Rawya Ateya était une Égyptienne qui fut la première femme parlementaire du monde arabe. Elle a également été la première femme à être nommée officier dans l'Armée de libération. Pendant le conflit de Suez, elle a formé des femmes au métier d'infirmière et a également exercé les fonctions d'enseignante et de journaliste.
Biography
Rawya Ateya was an Egyptian woman who was the first female parliamentarian in the Arab world. Ateya was also the first woman to be commissioned as an officer in the Liberation Army. She trained woman during the Suez conflict to be nurses and also spent time as a teacher and a journalist.
